A native Kentuckian, Michael is proud to promote his home state as a top travel destination. In his spare time, he enjoys fishing and exploring the outdoors.

Appointed Deputy Commissioner in May 2024, Nancy previously served 23 years as Executive Director of Winchester Clark-County Tourism. A Western Kentucky University graduate, she lives in her 1792 family home with her husband, son, and three dogs. Nancy enjoys gardening, fishing, and advocating for Kentucky tourism.

A Northern Kentucky native, Cass is an Eastern Kentucky University graduate. As assistant to the Commissioner and Deputy Commissioner, she manages daily operations, coordinates schedules, and supports KDT’s mission. She lives in Lexington with her dog, Moose, and enjoys the distillery district and Big Blue Nation activities.

Jayla is an Administrative Supervisor at KDT, serving since 2007. She lives in Franklin County with her family, enjoys traveling, and supports her children’s sports activities.

KDT’s Budget Specialist, Michelle has spent her life in Frankfort, KY. She is married with three grown children and six grandchildren. Michelle enjoys crafts, baking, and spending time with her family, along with caring for two dogs and two cats.

Kimberly is KDT’s Cultural Heritage Tourism Director. Originally coming to Kentucky for a short-term outdoors project, she now enjoys sharing Kentucky’s hidden gems and lesser-known stories with visitors.

A former Chicago resident, Kimberly became a Kentucky resident in 2015 after first visiting as a tourist in 2012. Joining KDT in March 2023, she manages programs supporting tourism development. She enjoys discovering the state’s beauty via scenic routes and back roads.

Charlotte, Special Projects Coordinator, is a lifelong Kentuckian who enjoys country life. Married with three children and six grandchildren, she loves fishing, exploring local eateries, and spending quality time with her family. A graduate of the Art Institute of California and U.S. Marine Corps veteran, Chenelle joined KDT after working at ShelbyKYtourism. As International and Domestic Sales Director, she focuses on partnerships and data to promote Kentucky to visitors.

Alexander, a University of Kentucky graduate, oversees group travel to Kentucky. Living in Lexington, he enjoys hiking, camping, and promoting the state as a premier destination for memorable experiences.

Courtney serves as Program Research Coordinator. She enjoys hiking, fishing, traveling, and family time with her spouse, two dogs, and a kitten. Her favorite Kentucky spot is the eastern mountains.

Kristina, a proud Kentuckian and Eastern Kentucky University graduate, shares the state’s stories and traditions. She previously worked in public relations for the bourbon industry and as a journalist for newspapers across Kentucky.

An Army brat born at Ft. Knox, Benjamin studied journalism at Spring Hill College. He has written for newspapers in multiple states and joined KDT in July 2023, using his skills to showcase Kentucky to visitors.

Jack, Social Media Specialist, holds a B.A. in history from Georgetown College. He manages KDT’s social media presence while also pursuing interests in writing, filmmaking, music, and outdoor activities with his pet rabbit.

Marketing Director since 1997, Kathy is a native Kentuckian who enjoys sharing the state’s story with the world. She is married with two daughters, four grandchildren, and one great-grandson. She enjoys reading, cooking, crocheting, and family travel.

Mary Ann has been a KDT Graphic Designer since 2003. She and her family enjoy traveling, walks, bike rides, and creating lasting memories at home in the countryside.

Beth is the Administrator for the Extranet and website. After a six-year retirement, she returned to KDT in 2023. She enjoys spending time with her grandkids, her partner, and their dog while promoting Kentucky tourism.

The Regional Marketing & Matching Funds Program Manager joined KDT in 1987. Their family, including son Tyler, daughter-in-law Taylor, and grandson Bowen, are central to their life. Vacations and attending tourism events are favorite pastimes.

Karen joined KDT in January 2021 as Regional Marketing & Matching Funds Program Assistant. With over four decades in Kentucky tourism, she assists statewide partners while contributing to the Commonwealth’s economic growth.

Welcome Center Manager since 2018, Kenny has been in state government since 2003. Living in Franklin County with his wife and two children, he enjoys sports, hunting, fishing, and exploring new adventures across Kentucky.
